His car is a work of art, created in CountrysideWays’ Italian backyard and tested out in the Kebili Governorate, Tunisia. This 3.6 liters flying carpet — as many refers to — takes inspiration from the Porsche 953, designed and built for the 1984 Paris–Dakar.
Chassis lightened and strengthened, huge off-road race tires, a pair of massive adjustable shock absorbers per wheel, 160 liters fuel tank added, FIA safety standard specifications and, last but not least, an air compressor — in order to inflate/re-inflate tires when dunes require. Under the bonnet the iconic flat six engine, capable of 300 hp. When surfaces are smooth speeds exceed 160 km/h.
CountrysideWays’ approach really raises the bar of any expectation, always pushing boundaries in performance, strength and winning style. This is why he chose our Ventile® fabric jacket: delivering breathability, comfort and top notch qualities without equal.
The principle behind Ventile® is paradoxically simple and yet very complex. The making of process involves weaving together as many loosely twisted fibres as possible, and when damp they swell up to seal the fabric. It remains just as breathable as any cotton jacket would, protecting during any sandstorm as well as preserving body temperature during Sahara cold nights.
